Patty Cotton (Moe's) middle daughter, also an artist poses in front of several painting shown at a recent show a the KAHA, Guam's Government Museum. The painting right behind Patty hung in the Balau Museum during the 9th Festival of Arts that hosted over 4000 participants and guests. Painting below is Cotton's largest painting entitled "Pamala", the name given to Guam's most devistating typhoon. (that is probably why people think I had Patty in minde when I painted it.

This is one of about three painting (all large 3 x 4 ft) created especially for a one man show at the Guam Gallery of Art in the Chamorro Village. This style turned out to be very popular with those looking for art to hang in offices.

The Title of this piece of art is called "Shell Jewelry".
Ancient Chamorros value these orange shells, known as spongulas, as precious jewelry since the divers had to go much deeper to obtain the shells with the orange color.
